Second Week as CEO for One Month

This was my second week described per day:

Spend the morning with the Business unit of Temporary Work and got to know into more detailed how the processes work in terms of structure and organization, adding the functional part of it. Learnt how should I read some numbers in order to approach the situations rapidly to correct potential problems in this unit. In the afternoon I was with a TRH - Human Resources Technique, to get to know how is a daily rountine of a person responsible to find candidates, schedule and doing interviews, and talking with the clients to know the requirements of a specific position.

Great day with the Training department - getting to know the team and the three areas of it: Professional training, Solutions of Adecco Training such as Team Building, corporate events and gamification projects, and Training Consulting.

In the evening I got the chance to have a call with a prospect client and meeting the Director of the business unit Temporary Work.

Morning with the Permanent Placement unit and getting to know how it is their daily work and how they choose the best candidates for their clients. I went to have lunch with the commercials and in the afternoon we went to the streets to do a Blitz (defined as a very short, intensive, and focused marketing campaign for a product or business) which included to go door to door and visit companies presenting Adecco to them.

Whole day with the business area Outsourcing which started as a morning with the Director of Outsourcing, presentation of the unit, long talk hearing about her story and the management style she built having people at the center. In the afternoon I was with an Operational Manager. We went to visit two different operations in Lisbon área which was great to get to know some collaborators of Adecco working with Outsourcing and talking with them about their experiences.

Spend the day with the team of Spring Professional, a brand of The Adecco Group, focused on specialized recruitment and selection. It was great to talk with the Director of Spring Professional, assisting to an interview and spending a couple of hours with an IT Consultant that teached me how to look for candidates in IT sector and present them to clients.
